About the Scholarship Fund
It all started when…
The Route 66 Car Club was founded in 2006 by teacher and club advisor, Mr. Weber. After teaching auto collision repair and painting for over 30 years at Rubidoux High School and Riverside City College, Mr. Weber, came up with the idea to host car shows that would fund a scholarship as a away to award students for excellence in his class. The Day of the Dead and Wild Bill's Riverside Nationals Car Shows garner support from the community and bring awareness to the educational program that serve as a launching pad for dozens of former student's careers.
Proceeds from the Car Show tickets, registrations and donations, directly benefit the Rubidoux High School Scholarship Fund. At the end of each school year, a check is awarded to a deserving student at senior awards night. The student is recognized for their distinction and outstanding achievement in the program.
Your generous donation to the Rubidoux High School Route 66 Car Club Scholarship Fund supports the next generation of auto collision and repair professionals in their journey to learn and master the craft.
We invite you to make a donation to our Scholarship Fund and help us shape tomorrow's workforce, one student at a time.
